THE BEST TIME TO TRAVEL TO COSTA RICA

You can visit Costa Rica all year round. The best travel time depends on your personal preferences. From November to April is the high season, also the dry period. In the rainy season there are occasional showers. So it does not rain continuously. A big advantage of this period is that many plants are in bloom and many young animals can be seen.

San José is located at 1170 meters above sea level, making it in the temperate zone. As a result, the maximum temperature is fairly constant at around 25 degrees. The first 4 months of the year have the least rainfall in San José.

Puntarenas is located on the west coast and has a tropical savanna climate. It can be warmer here than in other parts of the west coast. The exotic beaches attract tourists. The temperature is around 30 degrees all year round.

In short: Costa Rica is worth it all year round. If you are really looking for nice, warm weather, the best travel time is between November and May.
